Coalition dreams of a future in which Malcolm Turnbull actually succeeds

Liberal folk are almost daring to hope that encouraging economic news, some apparent softening of Labor's capacity to attack, and relatively clear decks could turn the political tide in the months ahead. That they could reverse the long and foreboding run of adverse opinion polls, which had seemed to show that Malcolm Turnbull was simply not making an impression on voters. That it could even set the scene for a triumphant re-endorsement by the voters sometime in 2019.
