There have been 10 people killed on the Kings Highway since 2013, data from Transport NSW shows.
The last fatal accident on the road was in February 2018, when a 63-year-old man crashed into a tree near Braidwood. Preliminary data showed it was the only fatal accident for the year.
Four people were killed in 2013, two in 2015, one in 2016 and two in 2017.
There were 244 crashes recorded between 2013 and 2017 on the highway, which connects Canberra Avenue with the Princess Highway in Batemans Bay through Braidwood.
The crashes left 325 people injured, while 62 people received serious injuries in 52 crashes.
Most crashes resulting serious injuries on the Kings Highway occurred in May, with December the third most likely month for serious injuries.
From Bungendore to Braidwood is the deadliest stretch of the road, with 14 deaths recorded in the decade to 2017.
Traffic builds up on the road around Christmas and long weekends. The population of Batemans Bay was expected to swell from a normal population of 17,000 to 40,000 people over the Christmas and New Year period.
The NSW government committed $25 million for safety improvements along the notoriously dangerous stretch of road in 2015.
Since then, parts of the highway east of Braidwood have been widened and re-aligned to improve traffic safety.
