A stadium or an arena? Government could scrap Civic Stadium plans
The ACT government could consider scrapping plans for a new $350 million stadium in the city to instead build a smaller multi-purpose indoor arena on the site of the Civic Pool.
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr flagged a radical change to the government's City to the Lake vision on Thursday at a Legislative Assembly inquiry into the proposal of a new convention centre.

Defence Force sexual misconduct targets subordinate women: prosecutor
A Navy sailor used his mobile telephone to film a woman in the shower aboard an Australian vessel.
The prosecution of the sailor was a military first for the use of tougher laws covering voyeuristic conduct – introduced only weeks before the offence.
Prosecutions for low-level sexual misconduct by men on subordinate women in the Defence Force had spiked in recent years, according to a report.
