No.10 Restaurant + Bar in Woden is hosting an intimate dinner partnering with local small batch winery Mada Wines on Thursday August 31. The five course menu by executive chef Duncan Winter will be matched with wines by passionate winemaker Hamish Young, formerly of Eden Road Wines.Tickets are $100 per head, with numbers restricted to 65. Relative newcomer to Kingston, Highgate House, is hosting a truffle and wine dinner on Thursday August 17. Dinner will include canapes and champagne to start, followed by five courses created by head chef Matt Ouwerkerk featuring local truffles. Each dish will be matched with a wine from Tomfoolery Winery in the Barossa Valley. The evening will conclude with dessert matched with Tasmania's Hellyers Road Original whiskey. You can also get your truffle fix at Jamie's Italian Canberra this month. The restaurant is holding a truffle and wine dinner on Tuesday August 15, hosted by Jamie's long-standing friend, sommelier Matt Skinner who helped Jamie open his first restaurant, Fifteen, in 2002. Dinner is three courses of share dishes, each showcasing truffle, matched with local wines from Nick O'Leary, Mada Wines, and Nick Spencer Wines.
