The owner of The Gods Cafe and Bar at the Australian National University says he will not leave the campus without a court order or a $650,000 payout.

Owner Jaye Min has been told to clear out by July 3 despite signing a lease for his current site until 2018 with the option to extend to 2023.
Mr Min's lawyers wrote to the ANU earlier this month arguing its demands were invalid as he was not given the legally required six months' notice ahead of the termination of his lease.
The letter goes on to state that a court order would be needed to evict Mr Min: "[This] will be defended for all of the reasons and based on all the facts and circumstances which have been previously detailed".
It is understood ANU has not responded to Mr Min's lawyers. An ANU spokesman told Fairfax Media all end of licence arrangements would "be in full compliance with conditions of the existing licence".
The university had discussed the proposed developments with stallholders since 2014, he said.
"The ANU negotiated in good faith with all campus food providers over the move to the new pop up development for the duration of the refurbishment of the Union Court precinct," he said.
"Another existing campus provider has taken the café space that was first offered to The Gods.
Mr Min's lawyers detail his losses at $650,000. Speaking this week, Mr Min said the figure would be more than $1 million with profit included.
He vowed to "camp at the cafe 24/7 if I have to" after his water and electricity is cut off early July.
"I will just stay on the premises because I have a right to do so ... we have been here more than 30 years," he said.
The $220 million Union Court redevelopment will include new teaching and student buildings, a purpose-built events and theatre building, student accommodation, a swimming pool, gym, outdoor spaces and amphitheatre, bars, event pavilions, cafes, services, shops and underground parking.
Other businesses have spoken out about changes brought by the redevelopment, including one cafe owner who faces increased rents and longer opening hours, and the ANU Union, which lost the tender for ANU Bar.
