Kathie and Adam Potts were married in a beautiful ceremony just over a week ago, on March 1, at The Chapel at Gold Creek.
Annabelle was their flowergirl and their son, William, was the page boy.
The Evatt couple had been planning to quietly elope later this year but the diagnosis late last year of Annabelle's aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumour put all that on the back burner to concentrate on their little girl's health.
The three-year-old has been receiving treatment at the Sydney Children's Hospital and her family have been in a kind of "holding pattern" waiting for the results of her latest MRI scan to understand what might be the next step.
The family's spokesperson, Annabelle's uncle Anthony Griffiths, said Kathie's sister had got together to help make the wedding day happen, with all wanting Annabelle to be there and to be a special part of the day.
"They just said, 'Let's do this'," he said.
Anthony said it was a day for all the family to just take a breath, sit back and enjoy each other's company and celebrate something positive.
"It really was wonderful," he said.
Since Annabelle's return to Canberra, she has also been surprised by a magical playground built at her house thanks to the generosity of the local community and the breakfast team at MIX 106.3,
