An Emergency Services Agency spokesman said the house had been unoccupied at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
The cause was determined not to be suspicious.
ACT Fire and Rescue responded to a call about the fire, which happened in a house on Bugden Avenue at the eastern intersection of Maughan Crescent, about 11am on Saturday.
The Emergency Services Agency spokesman said the house had been well alight when firefighters arrived.
Firefighters remained at the scene for more than four hours on Saturday afternoon to monitor for any re-ignition of the blaze, before the property was handed back to its owners.
The northern section of Bugden Avenue was closed while emergency services conducted operations.
