John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (M): The third film in this series once again stars Keanu Reeves as the titular super-assassin, a role that downplays his limitations as a rather stolid actor (albeit one with presence) and focuses on violence (reminiscent of Charles Bronson).

This time our hero has to shoot and fight his way out of New York, fighting off the top assassins in the world, after a $14 million bounty is put on his head, as seen at the end of the previous film in the series. He has been declared excommunicado after killing crime lord D'Antonio on Continental Hotel grounds (a big no-no).
The title apparently comes from the Latin phrase Si vis pacem, para bellum (If you want peace, prepare for war) - which seems a mite pretentious for this kind of movie.
Peterloo (M): Before this, British writer-director Mike Leigh hadn't made a film since Mr Turner (2014).
He's back with a film marking the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre on August 16, 1819.
A huge crowd of people from Manchester and the surrounding towns peacefully gathered in St Peter's Fields to demand Parliamentary reform and an extension of voting rights. While trying to arrest one of the meeting's leaders, the government militia charged on the crowd, killing about 15 people and wounding hundreds of others.
The film's focus is on a family of mill workers involved in the events.
