Job offers were finally flowing through late on Tuesday to the latest batch of young public servants for the 2015 federal departmental graduate programs after they were delayed by the Public Service Minister Eric Abetz.

Some of the departments that have begun to call candidates for offers are DFAT, Defence, Infrastructure, and Veterans Affairs.
While most of this year's graduate recruits found out about their positions in July last year, this year's crop of bright eyed and bushy tailed aspiring bureaucrats were put through an agonising wait.
Departments were told to halt recruitment offers until Senator Abetz decided on how many would make up the new batch in light of vast cuts to the public service.
In August a spokesman from the Public Service Commission said that decisions about the "scale of entry level recruitment in 2014-15" were still being finalised.
It is understood that offers to most graduates are expected to arrive by the end of the month.
The intake, which attracts tens of thousands of applications, saw 1263 graduates employed in departments in 2013.
With the current hiring freeze and mass redundancies in the public service, it is currently the main way to gain full-time permanent employment in the federal bureaucracy.
