An ACT Policing spokeswoman said a Honda Prelude drove directly into the Wollongong Street store around 11.50pm and a crime scene was subsequently established on Monday morning.
The police spokeswoman said several items were stolen from the premises and the ram-raid caused an estimated $10,000 of damage to the store.
One Optus worker said it was the second ram-raid incident at the store in as many years.
Police searched the area for witnesses to the ram-raid and are seeking CCTV footage from surrounding businesses.
The car remained lodged in the shop window around 11.30am on Monday and a tow truck was expected to remove the vehicle during the afternoon.
Police have urged anyone with information concerning the burglary to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
