Massey, 38, was transferred across the border after an extradition hearing in the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
He applied for and was denied bail at Cooma Local Court on Thursday.
The Ngunnawal man has been charged with three counts of supplying methylamphetamine in December 2012.
Massey is one of 60 people arrested and charged as a result of a joint NSW-ACT investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs that started in August 2012.
NSW Police reported more than 220 drug supply charges had been laid as a result of Strike Force Delicate.
Detective Inspector Neil Grey, of NSW Police, said Massey’s extradition had been an example of how effectively the police could work across jurisdictional boundaries.
“We are extremely grateful for the ongoing assistance provided to NSW by the ACT Police,” Detective Inspector Grey said.
Massey has a reputation in the underworld for being a hard man.
He has spent much of his adult life behind bars after more than 50 convictions, including armed robbery and escaping custody.
He vowed to live a "pro-social life" after he spent five years behind bars in the 1990s, but reoffended on release and received a seven-year sentence.
He was sentenced to a four-year stretch in 2011 for kidnapping and unlawful confinement.
He has recently been in Canberra's jail after allegedly breaching his parole last year.
Massey was remanded in custody in NSW after Thursday’s failed bail application.
The drugs matters are listed to appear before Queabeyan Court in May.
