Crews were called to the two vehicle accident on Wentworth Avenue near the intersection with Eyre Street just after 10am.
An ESA spokesman said crews used hydraulic rescue tools to remove one door of a vehicle and ambulance officers were assessing one patient.
One lane remained closed at 10.30am and ACT Policing urges drivers to avoid the area.
Earlier, one person was hospitalised after a crash in Weston Creek.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of the two vehicle collision at Streeton Drive and Cotter Road just after 9.30am.
An ESA spokesman said one person was treated for minor injuries at the scene before being transported to Canberra Hospital.
