Investigations have commenced after a Batemans Bay service station near Hughes Street and the Princes Highway was robbed at gunpoint.
Police said a man wielding a rifle and wearing a balaclava threatened a worker at the petrol station, demanding cash and cigarettes.
After obtaining some money, the gunman grabbed two bags of chocolates before running out of the store. Police believe the offender was picked up by a car that was parked nearby.
Local detectives are now searching for the "sweet-toothed bandit", who has only been described as wearing a full-face balaclava, dark clothing, and gloves.
Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Batemans Bay Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
