Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will tour Australia in November this year, as the Queen's ''personal representatives'' in her Diamond Jubilee year.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard has announced that the royal couple will make the visit for six days from November 5 to November 10.
In a visit that coincides with the Melbourne Cup on November 6, it is expected the the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will make it to the Victorian capital, as well as Longreach, Adelaide, Hobart, Sydney and Canberra.
According to a statement by Ms Gillard: ''Details of the program, and locations where the public will be able to see the Royal couple, will be made publicly available closer to the visit.''
Prince Charles last visited Australia in 2005 but this will be Camilla's fist trip down under.
The Royal couple will also visit Papua New Guinea and New Zealand on the same trip.
