John, the subject of the recent film Rocketman, will be performing in Melbourne, Sydney, Coffs Harbour, Townsville and A Day on the Green in Geelong and the Sunshine Coast, but is omitting Canberra from the tour, which has 32 Australian dates and six New Zealand dates.
He visited in 2012, but maybe he remembered when he performed here in 2007 at Stage 88 and there was torrential rain. He was well covered on stage but the audience on the grass was thoroughly drenched.
In 2012 he left Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide off his itinerary, so maybe he felt it was Canberrans' turn to make travel plans if they wanted to see him.
