Clive Churchill Medallist Jack Wighton, co-captain Jarrod Croker, young gun Nick Cotric, and maybe even Joey Leilua top the Green Machine's re-signing priorities.
All four are off contract at the end of 2020 and are free to accept other offers from November 1.
But Raiders recruitment boss Peter Mulholland said that once the pain of the grand final loss had died down - plus coach Ricky Stuart had returned from a week at the Rugby World Cup with England coach Eddie Jones - they would get to work on extending their stars.
Leilua has been granted permission to look elsewhere, with the Canterbury Bulldogs initially interested. But that interest has cooled after they upgraded a couple of players and their salary cap space diminished.
Now the feeling in the Raiders camp is he could stay with the Raiders until the end of next season and potentially even beyond.
Mulholland said they would consider extending Leilua's stay if they could fit him into the salary cap.
But they'll definitely look to lock in their other stars who are coming off contract.
"I'm sure we'll start talking once this week or two runs out," he said.
"Rick's going away for a week next week so probably the week after next.
"This week's probably just getting over the hurt of the grand final and then we'll start to sit down the week after that. Certainly Crokes, Nick Cotric and Jack Wighton are priorities."
The Raiders were unsure what halfback Aidan Sezer's plans were, but he's reportedly signed a three-year with English Super League club Huddersfield.
New Zealand winger Jordan Rapana, whose Raiders contract runs out in three weeks, was expected to leave for Japanese rugby, but the heartbreaking grand-final loss has muddied the waters. He's reportedly keen to stay and interested in exploring a short-term contract in Japan before potentially returning to the Raiders next season.
The Raiders have been linked to St George Illawarra outside back Zac Lomax, who is off contract at the end of 2020.
Lomax has been shopped to the Raiders for 2021 and beyond, with the club believed to be unable to fit him into next year's salary cap and the Dragons keen to keep him.
The Raiders will look to bring some young players through in the outside backs to cover Rapana if he does go, with Bailey Simonsson the obvious replacement, but they will also look to Sebastian Kris, Harley Smith-Shields and Semi Valemei as further depth.
Rapana, Simonsson and Joe Tapine were named in the New Zealand Kiwis nines squad on Wednesday for the World Cup Nines to be held at Parramatta Stadium next Friday and Saturday.
Simonsson was one of six debutants in the 16-man squad, but he's already represented the All Blacks in World Rugby Sevens.
The Raiders have signed Peter Sterling Medallist Adrian Trevilyan, the North Queensland 18-year-old hooker who led Kirwan State High to victory in the NRL National Schoolboy Cup last month.
