And Cavalry director Dan Amodio hopes it will turn into a long-term partnership that includes SK players suiting up in orange in the future.
The Wyverns will send 30-40 players and coaches from their minor league team to Canberra, with the camp beginning next Thursday and running through until the end of November.
They'll make full use of the $5 million redevelopment of The Fort - including the main and second fields, as well as the indoor batting cages.
Amodio said those facilities had been a crucial cog in bringing the Koreans Down Under.
The Wyverns are one of the most successful Korean Baseball Organisation teams, having won the 2018 championship and making this year's semi-finals.
Canberra has history with the KBO, having brought six Lotte Giants to the capital for the opening season of the ABL.
Amodio hoped they would be able to come to a similar arrangement with SK in the future.
The Cavalry have already partnered up with Japanese team Yokohama DeNA Baystars, who will send four pitchers for the upcoming ABL season - Shinichi Onuki, Kosuke Sakaguchi, Takamasa Kasai and Shingo Hirata.
That partnership got off to a flying start with Shota Imanaga proving to be one of the stars of the league last summer.
USA Major League club San Diego Padres will send players to the Cavalry this summer, while they've also struck a deal with the Houston Astros - who are currently leading the World Series against the Washington Nationals - to send Chuckie Robinson to the ACT.
"We're really excited," Amodio said.
"They visited earlier in the year to inspect the facilities and to get a sense of what the experience would be like in Canberra.
"They loved what they saw and we're excited to start the partnership next month.
"We would not have been able to host them here without the new facilities."
Amodio said discussions were under way to make this a long-term relationship, with the potential of the Wyverns bringing their major league team to Canberra in the future.
The Cavalry are also hoping to play some practice games against them in the lead-up to the ABL season, but the details are yet to be finalised.
They're season hits off against the Melbourne Aces at Narrabundah Ballpark on November 21.
It's hoped any friendly games would be a week before that.
The Cavalry are close to finalising their roster for the 2019-20 season
"We're already starting to talk to them about becoming a long-term destination for them, which has really great potential for Canberra," Amodio said.
"Just this camp will have a pretty significant economic impact and if we're able to get a long-term deal with them there's even more potential there as well.
"We're also hoping to play some friendly games between the Cavalry and Wyverns.
"They are keen, but we haven't quite confirmed the details yet."
