The double A-side single features the upbeat Bad Child, which is reminiscent of Dance Monkey, and the piano ballad Can't Be Happy All The Time.
"Can't Be Happy All The Time is a song about the struggles of rising to fame so quickly and dealing with a dramatic change in lifestyle - the good and bad that comes with it," said Toni Watson, the artist behind Tones and I.
Tones and I's rise to fame has been meteoric. Dance Monkey topped the charts in more than 30 countries and is the longest-running No.1 on the Daily Spotify Global Chart with 2 billion streams.
VIRUS FEAR SPREADS TO MUSIC
JUST like other elements of the global economy, the spread of coronavirus is beginning to bite music fans.
On Wednesday Tasmanian music and arts festival, Dark Mofo, was cancelled due to fears surrounding COVID-19. The festival was scheduled for June but the decision was made to cancel to mitigate the financial risk.
It follows news that California's iconic Coachella festival will be postponed until 2021 and grunge kings Pearl Jam have cancelled their upcoming US tour for the new album Gigaton.
Singer Miley Cyrus, comedian Russell Brand and rock band The Pixies have also cancelled Australian shows due to coronavirus.
However, some events remain vigilant. Byron Bay's Bluesfest reaffirmed their commitment to proceed over Easter after NSW Health deemed the five-day festival to be low risk.
Bluesfest also announced they would be boosting hand sanitisation facilities to minimise the spread of the virus.
MORE OFFSPRING
ONE band seemingly not concerned by coronavirus is US punk rockers The Offspring.
After selling out shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, the Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) hit-makers upgraded their April 21 gig to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and added a new Wollongong show at the WIN Entertainment Centre on April 16.
