Hopefully you managed to sample Ramen Daddy's excellent pre-packaged ramen over the past couple of months. They were one of my highlights of lockdown. You can still order online and they're also available at the Ainslie IGA.

Now chefs John Leverink and Eddy Ming are heading to Assembly in Braddon for a pop up and you're invited. It's been a while since the cooking skills have been on display in public and they can't wait to go. Bookings are essential via Assembly. There will also be DIY kits for you to take home as well. Can't get to Switzerland so head out to Pialligo Estate for Swiss Night. Celebrating the 729th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation, the Embassy of Switzerland will be showcasing its country to Canberrans.

You'll experience a taste of the culture with a delicious traditional Swiss menu created by Swiss chef Daniel Hiltbrunner and your hosts will be the Ambassador of Switzerland, Mr Pedro Zwahlen and Mrs Yasmine Chatila Zwahlen.

Perfect way to kick off the menu with a raclette with potatoes and pickles on arrival, right through to a Toblerone chocolate mousse paired with dark cherry compote. Bookings are essential on 62476060. August 20, from 6pm. $99pp.

If you love the 1920s, this is for you. Put on your feather boa and let the Kurrajong Hotel take care of the rest. Dress in your flapper best for a relaxed evening with a themed cocktail on arrival, three-course meal and three-hour beverage package. There'll be a swing band as well.

Consider yourself a whisky connoisseur? Why not add on the one-hour whisky tasting experience from 5pm featuring five different whiskies from GlenGrant Distillery and start the night the "Old Fashioned" way.

Head out to Contentious Character Winery in Wamboin for a night fit for royalty. Featuring a menu drawn from a whole roasted suckling pig, smoked and carried into the winery to be carved by the fireside, the night will be quite a spectacle. The Ultimate King and Queen's Feast for $120pp features unlimited wine, pig and song. The Lords and Ladies option for $65pp is a three-course menu with a glass of pinot gris and noir. The kids are catered for as well $35, for children 5-12, under 5s are free, with margherita pizza and chocolate brownie and ice cream for dessert. Bookings essential. August 22, from 6.30pm.

Canberra Distillery will show you how to make your own gin, equal parts science and art. You will learn how to mix a neutral spirit with botanical infusions to produce your own delicious blend. Ticket price includes tastings of your own gin and other Canberra Distillery products with delicious finger food and wine. At Hops and Vine in Hall. August 22, from 2pm.

After a sell-out Beautifully Mad dinner and show, Tony King and Nina Vox, AKA, Beautifully Mad, are heading back out to Tallagandra Hill Winery for an additional show. The Sunday Session will also offer a range of wines, local beers and snacks are available. Tickets are limited and bookings are required. August 23, from 2pm.

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the first European sighting of Lake George, glass artist Lisa Cahill and Lake George Winery's Sarah McDougall, have joined forces in a collaboration to share their passions of art and wine.

The childhood friends are offering a couple of experiences at Westering, Lake George, running from August 21 until October 5. There'll be an exhibition of Cahill's beautiful glass pieces and wine tastings to complement. From August 21.
