And a lot of that interest has come from Canberrans.
It comes as the town has opened a new display village. The village will have 19 homes built by 15 builders and will be open from Saturday.
Googong spokeswoman Penny Forrest said the display village came as interest in the town surged.
"Googong is experiencing record interest and sales because of the better value on offer for buyers and the lifestyle benefits available with the community," she said.
"Given the current interest in moving to Googong, the timing of the new display village couldn't be better."
Building company McDonald Jones Homes has two homes in the village and ACT general manager Jason Bisa said they had been building in Googong since the beginning.
"We've always had a good pipeline of work out here and Googong itself has been very good to McDonald Jones," he said.
"We've always got a good six to eight jobs on the go all the time out here so Googong serves us well."
During the recent ACT election, the Canberra Liberals campaigned that one of the biggest issues facing the territory was Canberrans who had moved to Googong.
Australian Bureau of Statistics data showed net migration between Canberra and the surrounding region favoured the surrounds marginally.
But when it came to migration between the ACT and all of NSW, the territory was favoured.

About 60 per cent of buyers in Googong came from Canberra, according to the Googong sales office.
"There's a little bit of leakage from Canberra to Googong and people are coming out here to really capitalise on the value that Googong offers," Mr Bisa said.
"The land price and the land size is very competitive to the ACT."
Mr Bisa said many of McDonald Jones' properties were sold to families and the company had built mostly four-bedroom homes.
This will be the third display village to be built in Googong since construction started about six years ago.
Ms Forrest said more would likely come as the town grew.
"Googong is such a big project ... it's already home to 5000 people, ultimately it will be home to 18,000 so we'll be selling over 10 years or more," she said.
"Homes change [and] builders usually update their product every couple of years so we want to be able to continue to be able to display the latest product for people to see."
