Over the weekend of December 4-6, sessions which meet COVID guidelines will be held, featuring a unique line-up of vendors spread throughout the Dairy Road gardens accompanied by live music.
For Dionysus' Michael Liu, the cultural development team behind The Dairy Road Market, the event is one full of optimism.
"It's incredibly important to remain hopeful and optimistic about the future of events, especially when so many small local businesses rely on them," he says.
"2020 has thrown a lot of curve balls, but with Christmas around the corner combined with the easing of restrictions, Dairy Road Market is an opportunity to celebrate what we have and can look forward to.
"It's a chance to feast on delicious street food, taste some local wines and pick up a few bottles for Christmas, and rummage through handmade arts, crafts and pre-loved goods. There's never been a better time to support local Canberra businesses."
Some of the vendors involved include: Get Whipped Cheesecake Cones, Zaab, The Meat Wizard, Emmy's Gourmet Gozleme, Three Mills Bakery, Gundog Estate, Contentious Character Winery, Quarry Hill Wines, Lake George Winery, as well as Dairy Road tenants Waypoint Tea Co, Grainger Gallery, Capital Brewing Co., Jasper and Myrtle Chocolates, Vertikal Indoor Snow Sports, KIDZplore Canberra, and BlocHaus Canberra.
There'll be live music from Dollface, Jeff & Deej, Monica Moore Trio, Alex Voorhoeve and Tim Wickham, Lachlan Coventry Trio and Agency Dub Collective, among others.
