Kent broke the Cavalry's record for the most ABL wins in Lismore, overtaking Brian Grening's haul of 26.
His winning ways could not be replicated when the Cavalry returned to Narrabundah Ballpark after a rain delay this weekend, with Keith Ward's outfit falling 3-1 to the Sydney Blue Sox.
Kent, who has played for the Cavalry since their inception in the reborn ABL, said the record was special because he played alongside Grening for eight years - although it took him longer to achieve it.
"I suppose that's just an indication that I've been able to pitch for a while. I overtook Brian, who got the same amount of wins in a lot less time," Kent said.
"Brian is a good friend of mine and was a great pitcher for the Cavalry for a long time, so any time you break a record set by him it's pretty special."
The seventh series also saw Justin Erasmus break the ABL record for most games pitches, having made his 140th appearance on the mound of match one.
Canberra claimed the series opener 8-4, with Samad Taylor hitting four home while Frank Gailey pitched five strong innings for the Cavalry. But that's where their charge stalled.
The Cavalry's five-match winning came to an end on Saturday night when the Blue Sox scored seven unanswered runs to prevail 7-2.
Sydney closed out a low-scoring affair the following morning, with pitchers Taylor Blore and Lachlan Wells holding Canberra to just one run via Boss Moanaroa.
Trent D'Antonio, Alex Howe and Jacob Robson all collected to RBIs's in match four, leading the Blue Sox to a dominate 9-3 win on Sunday.
Canberra will now look to secure a top-three finish when they meet the Brisbane Bandits later this week, with the clubs to split the hosting duties across four days.
"Brisbane has always been a big rival of ours and we look forward to playing them, we'll see what they've got," Kent said.
"If we can get into the top three and avoid sudden death, then those games will be a little less stressful.
"But we do have a really good record playing in those wildcard games. If that's the case and we have to play in it, then we'll go in there and throw everything we have in it and hopefully come out with a win."
