The proud Queanbeyan man will be aiming for an opening round triumph before a daunting trip to Coffs Harbour where the remaining three Super W rounds will be played over seven days.
"To have the opportunity to play where I've grown up my whole life, to play as a local junior, to have my family and my friends to come to the game and support the Brumbies in Queanbeyan is going to be an excellent opportunity," Hawke said.
"If you go through the list of people who have played at a professional level, from Mark Webber, [David] Campese, Ricky Stuart, we've produced a number of special athletes in this area. That's who I grew up idolising."
The June 19 Super W opener will be the culmination of a huge Saturday for the women's game in Queanbeyan, with five club matches to be played before the Brumbies-Rebels fixture.
Hawke was named as the new women's coach earlier this month, and has immediately set about putting his own spin on the team.

"I've revamped the whole thing, I've taken a lot of the Brumbies language and the culture that the male team has and we're trying to instil that in the female space," Hawke said.
"We're trying to turn it into a professional environment so the ladies have every access to the same thing the male counterparts do."
Hawke hoped his experience as a schoolboys and pathway coach would help him get through the congested Super W season.
"It's a competition format that I'm very well practised in, substitutions, limiting loads, and making sure we're on top of all the bumps and bruises, it's something you've got to do day in day out over the seven days," he said.
