A P-plater was among two drivers nabbed going more than 50 kilometres over the speed limit on the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

ACT Policing said a 23-year-old Casey man was stopped on Horse Park Drive, Gungahlin at about 8.55pm on Saturday after police caught him going 138km/h in an 80km/h zone.
He was handed a $1841 fine and lost 12 demerit points for the offence during the double demerit point period.
On Sunday, police caught a P-plater driving a Volkswagen Golf going 133km/h on Morshead Drive, Russell, which is an 80km/h zone.
The 18-year-old from Carwoola had four passengers in the car when police pulled him over.
He was also hit with a $1841 fine and 12 demerit points for going 53km/h over the limit.
Due to the incurred demerit points, both drivers will receive licence suspensions notices for a minimum of three months.
