The alleged accessory is one of nine people, including five children, charged over a brawl that culminated in the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man at the Weston skatepark last September.
This defendant is over 18 but his identity has been suppressed, with prosecutors having previously argued successfully in the ACT Magistrates Court that the publication of his name could place him in danger and expose him to harassment on social media.
When the teenager made his most recent appearance in court on Thursday, defence lawyer Toni Tu'ulakitau said he had recently briefed a barrister in the matter.
Mr Tu'ulakitau requested a two-week adjournment, saying the advice counsel was expected to provide in that time would ultimately determine whether the case would proceed to sentence or trial.
Magistrate Robert Cook granted the request, listing the teenager to enter a plea on September 2.

Precisely how the young man is alleged to have aided the skatepark killing is unclear, with details of his alleged involvement yet to be aired in court.
A four-page outline of the police allegations against the 16-year-old boy accused of murdering the deceased does not refer to the alleged accessory at all, though each of the other seven defendants' names appear throughout the document.
The charge the man faces does reveal, however, that he is alleged to have been an accessory after the fact.
Police have previously said the fatal fight marked the culmination of a war of words that began on Snapchat before spilling into the skatepark.
Investigators believe the 16-year-old accused of murder stabbed the victim, whose name is the subject of a non-publication order, six times in the melee.
The accused killer, who cannot be identified because of his age, is set to stand trial in the ACT Supreme Court early next year after pleading not guilty.
Aside from the alleged accessory, the other seven defendants are charged with offences including common assault, property damage, affray and being knowingly concerned in an affray. Their cases have reached various stages.
