A Moncrieff builder's home sold for $1.32 million at an online auction on Saturday, marking the highest sale price for a four-bedroom property in the suburb.

It surpassed the suburb's median house price of $777,000, according to CoreLogic.
Listing agent Mathew Kocic of Canberry Properties said the advantage of being a builder's own home is that every detail was carefully considered when the house was built in 2016.
"A builder themselves actually has that opportunity to have a look into all the aspects of what that property could be and put all those extra details into a house," he said.
While it's a family home first and foremost, the house is certainly built for entertaining, thanks to an open-plan living and dining area that flows into a large alfresco space.
In pre-COVID times, the owners have comfortably hosted up to 100 people in the house.
"The large alfresco room is very impressive because it's fully insulated with double-glazed windows, taking an area that's not always usable on some of those colder Canberra nights through the winter times, but allows it to be an area that's usable all year round," said Mr Kocic.
The home received strong buyer interest, with close to 100 enquiries on the property and 14 registered bidders on auction day.
The property was listed one week before ACT's lockdown began, however the successful bidder, a Canberra local, had only inspected the house virtually.
"He'd been searching around, after selling a while ago in Canberra, for the perfect family home and I guess it was not only the fact that the house itself looks amazing but that it is a builder's home does give confidence to the quality that was there," Mr Kocic said.

While ACT's ban on in-person inspections has frustrated some buyers and sellers, Mr Kocic believes virtual inspections can be a valuable tool when done well, even beyond lockdowns.
"It's something that we at Canberry Properties have been doing prior to COVID lockdown," he said.
"In a COVID lockdown [virtual inspection tools] give buyers that confidence in buying, but when we do eventually come out of this or we get to one-on-one inspections, a buyer that has already inspected the property physically... they may actually use this virtual inspection tool anywhere from 10 to 50 times prior to the auction."
