Last year the Canberra side managed one win against a New Zealand team, downing the Wellington Hurricanes 12-10 in the Super Rugby Trans Tasman competition.
Next year's new Super Rugby Pacific competition gives the Brumbies more chances against their Kiwi counterparts, compared to their five games in 2021, but they will have to work on their game consistency.
Brumbies assistant coach Rod Seib said it was an area the side had to address in 2022, alongside their predictability in attack.
"Last year we had some good results along the way, but our consistency, particularly against New Zealand teams, just wasn't there," he said.
"From an attack sense we were very predictable. So we'd certainly like to make sure we have a lot more variety and be a lot more multifaceted in how we go about scoring points.
"We shut down a couple areas of our game and then we really struggled to find a way to score. So this year we're working on our skill set, and working on our decision making ability to be able to change our game up, depending upon what the opposition throws at us."

The side, however, are firmly focused on themselves heading into their second week of pre-season.
Clubs across the pacific competition unveiled their full squads on Monday but Seib said he had not paid too much attention to how other clubs' rosters had shaped up.
"To be honest, I haven't. I'm really just focusing on what we're doing at the moment and that's sort of really been a big theme for us," he said.
"Throughout this preseason we're looking at ... ourselves and what we need to do improve. We recognise that there's a need to improve and so before we start looking across at everyone else, I think we need to sort ourselves out first."
As 13 of the Brumbies' 35-man squad suited up for the Wallabies international window this year, the majority of the side will register for pre-season training on January 4.
Whilst senior leadership players wind down their national team duties, Sieb said it gave some of the younger players an opportunity to step up before they welcomed them back, and so far all players had stepped up to the plate.
"It's tough when you got some of your top line players not here, but the reality is you've got a lot of guys who can step up in that void. So you get a lot of guys who may not have that leadership opportunity when the Wallabies are here, they get the opportunity to show their strengths in that regard and really improve. So you do lose some things but you gain others," he said.
"It's really important when you go from one season to the next to have some continuity, so to have the nucleus of the same players is key. They're a really positive, hard-working group. So one thing you're guaranteed to get with this Brumbies group is you know when they come to training they work hard, so we have got to make sure we're working really smart as well, not just hard."
