The Easter weather forecast actually looks fine. That's right - light winds, mild temperatures and, crucially, little to no rain!
This means holiday fishing options are wide open. Let's look at some of the best of them.
South Coast fishing should be outstanding over Easter. As the estuaries clear up, they should all fish extremely well, as long you focus on the lower sections.
Time your sessions with the making tide to ensure you're fishing the cleaner, saltier ocean water.
The temperature in most systems is still over 20-degrees so there will be the full gamut of species on offer, including flathead, bream, trevally, tailor, whiting, blackfish and small snapper.
Rock and beach fishing both look viable this weekend thanks to gentle seas. There have been reports of plenty of salmon up and down the coast and they should be pretty easy to find.
There could also be tailor, bonito and rat kingfish mixed in with them. Bream, drummer, trevally and snapper will be active around the headlands. Try a lightly-weighted peeled prawn fished in the wash.
Fishers who frequent Moruya should note the iconic breakwall is fenced off for urgent repairs to damage caused by the recent massive seas.
There is no word on when this work will be completed, but there are plenty of other land-based options nearby.
You could do a lot worse than dedicate this Easter to chasing trout in the mountains.
River and stream fishing this autumn has been sensational and shows no sign of abating.
Conditions look ideal for healthy grasshopper activity over the weekend and this will ensure the browns and rainbows in the streams remain on the chew.
Lakes Eucumbene and Jindabyne are picture perfect and both producing fish on trolled lures and baits fished from the bank on dusk.
