And the Canberra Raiders should send a special invite to NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo for the night. Just to remind him of where the Viking clap was born and bred - and still resides.
For it seems, dear Canberrans, the NRL's big boss has become a little bit confused. Maybe it was the mountain air. Or should that be foot-of-the-mountain air?
But for some reason he thinks that Penrith is the home of the Viking clap. Said so himself while he was at the "Panthers in business breakfast" on Friday morning.
Both he and his boss, ARL Commission chairman Peter V'landys, drove the four hours west from Sydney to Penrith to enjoy the hospitality of the Panthers.
And that's where Abdo reportedly made his shocking statement: "It's great to be in Penrith today - the home of the Viking clap."
It's another needle in the side of all hurting Raiders fans, drawing a few more drops of lime green blood.
It's also another chapter in the Canberra-Penrith rivalry that includes grand final battles and a collapsed fence out at Penrith Stadium back in 2010 when a few Raiders fans wanted to get closer to their team.
Abdo's comments come off the back of the Panthers fans producing two renditions of the Viking clap during their second-half demolition of the Green Machine. As Penrith ran in 22 unanswered points.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart wasn't too fussed by it. Perhaps because Oscar Wilde once said, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."
Maybe he knows the Panthers fans are only doing it because they love it. They wish the Viking clap was actually theirs.
They've got nothing special to call their own. Well, apart from a premiership team that's on track to go back-to-back.
That's where August 6 comes in. It's a chance to show the Panthers fans where the Viking clap's really from. And Andrew as well if he makes the three hour drive south.
