This joint exhibition by Mellissa Read-Devine and Julie Simmons is focused on the landscape of the Flinders Ranges. Read-Devine's acrylic interpretations concentrate on the area's vivid colours while Simmons' mixed media highlights the changing light. It opens at Humble House Gallery in Fyshwick on Saturday February 3 and runs until March 3. See: humblehousegallery.com.au.

CCAS Manuka
Curated by Niamh Armstrong, Somewhere I've Been of works by Gemma Brown and Emma Pinsent made out of materials from, yes, somewhere they've been. It reconfigures waste, organic matter and the traces of anthropogenic intervention as a means to explore the complex relationship between humans and the environment. Ray Monde's new exhibition The Road to Wee Jasper at Tyger Gallery features 12 new collage works. The show will be officially opened on Saturday February 3 at 2pm, with free gin and tonic for gallery visitors, and will run until February 18. Monde said, "Within the layered collage is my attempt to pin down an ephemeral joy of that place, moments that slip and defy time." Life drawing
Discover and refine your life drawing skills with artist and teacher Leigh D. Walker at Aarwun Gallery. The course will explore a variety of drawing techniques, skills and materials over eight weeks to introduce students to different ways of seeing, thinking and drawing. Cullen & Welch
Singer-songwriters Kevin Welch and Heath Cullen perform together for the first time in this concert at The Street Theatre on Friday, February 9 at 8pm. Welch is known for working with The Dead Reckoners and as part of Kane/Welch/Kaplin. Cullen has collaborated with Joe Henry, and Elvis Costello's Imposters and The Waifs and others.
