Two men wearing hoods and armed with the weapons burst into the Conder club about 11.30pm and demanded money.
The pair fled through the smokers' exit with an unknown amount of cash.
The incident was the second at the club to involve a nail gun after a staff member was shot with the tool in June. ACT Policing confirmed it was investigating whether the two robberies were linked.
"It's a very traumatic experience for staff or any member of the public to be confronted with weapons," Detective Acting Sergeant Tony Crocker said.
"We do ask that if you're confronted with weapons in this situation to comply with people and think of your own safety first - no amount of cash is worth being injured."
In CCTV footage released by police on Thursday, the two men can be seen ordering staff around with weapons, and directing a staff member to open a safe.
The first offender is described as being of medium build and was wearing a blue and orange hooded jacket, black and grey gloves and blue-green pants.
The second man is also described as having a medium build and was wearing a brown-green hooded jacket, black pants and red gloves.
During the robbery, both men had their faces covered by black material.
On Thursday, ACT Policing urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 6159811.
