Police have issued a facefit showing the man they believe approached two children at a Canberra primary school last week.

Police said the man approached the children at a "Belconnen area primary school" on Friday August 17. They did not say which school.
"Around 11am, the man approached two primary students near the school boundary fence," police said in a statement.
"The man is described as having a dark complexion and a black beard. He was wearing a black unzipped hooded jumper, a black shirt with writing on the front, dark tracksuit pants, a black beanie and a square, silver and gold watch."
