A man has been airlifted to hospital after an alleged stabbing in the South Burnett region on Tuesday afternoon.

The man, aged in his 20s, was flown to hospital in a serious but stable condition and touched down at Sunshine Coast University Hospital just befoe 6pm.
Paramedics arrived to a home in Blackbutt, about 160 kilometres north-west of Brisbane, at 3.20pm.
The man had suffered a number of stab wounds to his chest, abdomen and leg, a Queensland Ambulance spokesman said.
The paramedics s initially treated the man at the scene, before taking him to a nearby showground to be airlifted.
A LifeFlight critical-care doctor and a QAS paramedic were onboard the chopper, and treated the man for several wounds.
Police arrived at the scene about 5pm.
