Several flights leaving Canberra Airport on Wednesday morning have been delayed by up to two hours due to fog in Sydney.
Although the fog is expected to clear by mid-morning, some flights have been delayed from leaving Canberra until at least 10.05am.
Two Qantas flight from Sydney bound for the capital have been cancelled, with a further four outbound flights and three inbound flights experiencing delays.
Most airlines have been affected by the fog, including Qantas, Virgin and Fly Pelican.
Meteorologist Gabrielle Woodhouse from the Bureau of Meteorology said the fog in Sydney reached Sydney Airport by 5am.
"With that, we have been seeing visibility drop to about 100, 200 metres at times," Ms Woodhouse said.
Ms Woodhouse said the fog was expected to clear by 9am.
