A man has handed himself into police and been charged over the alleged hit-and-run last weekend which killed 20-year-old Michael Bowden.

The alleged driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old local man, will face several charges in court next month including driving under the influence.
Mr Bowden was hit on Northern Avenue, near the intersection with Annandi Avenue, on June 9 as he walked home from a party, having spent the day at the Weipa Fishing Classic.
A resident of the small north Queensland town heard tyres screeching and a loud noise before finding Mr Bowden on the road with major head and shoulder injuries just before 3am.
The resident tried to perform CPR until paramedics took over, but the young man died at the scene.
Mr Bowden had several brothers in the region, but the rest of his family lived on the Tablelands.
Police were unsure what kind of vehicle hit Mr Bowden and had appealed for dashcam footage or witnesses to help find the driver responsible as the victim's family pleaded for "justice".
A police service spokeswoman said a man handed himself in to police and detectives will allege the accused was driving a station wagon when he hit Mr Bowden and fled the scene.
The man was given a Notice to Appear for driving without due care, failing to remain at an incident, driving between 11pm and 5am without a certificate of exemption and driving while under the influence of liquor or a drug. He was expected to appear in Weipa Magistrates Court on July 17.
