The sub-acute hospital on Aikman Drive in Bruce will be Canberra's third public hospital, and will largely focus on caring for people recovering from surgery or experiencing mental illness.
Health Minister Meegan Fitzharris said it was a chance for people to check out the new hospital and meet staff who will be working there.
“There will be family friendly activities, a sausage sizzle, live music performed by University of Canberra student musicians, tours of the facilities and demonstrations of equipment," she said.
“Brindy’s Cafe, the hospital’s new cafe which is located in the foyer of the building, will also be up and running and ready to serve coffee and cake to visitors at the open day."
The open day will run from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, June 16.
