The 22-year-old man will front ACT Magistrates Court on Friday morning charged with arson and destroying or concealing evidence.
Three people escaped injury when five shots were fired at a home in Dalziel Street, Gowrie on February 2 last year.
CCTV footage linked a gold-coloured Subaru WRX, seen driving on the suburban street around the time of the shooting, to the crime.
The car was recovered burnt out in near the intersection of Mountain Creek Road and Sherwood Road in Uriarra later that day.
At the time, police believed the shooting was targeted and not a random act.
Investigations into the shooting have continued and police seized suspected drugs, ammunition and a replica firearm from locations across the ACT.
A police spokeswoman said inquiries into the shooting were ongoing.
