ACT Fire & Rescue were called to the college at 10.30am after a fire broke out in an oven at the Phillip Ave campus.
Dickson College was evacuated after a fire broke out in an oven in the canteen.
The fire was extinguished by staff at the College by 10.45am, but firefighters were conducting ventilation and air monitoring operations.
They found the fire had not extended into the roof.
Damage to the commercial oven is estimated at $1,000.
Staff and students were allowed to return to the College shortly after 11am.
