ACT police arrested a man on a first instance warrant in Hall on Friday, but it took a search of the area after the 24-year-old man crashed a vehicle into several unmarked police cars before fleeing from officers on foot.

Police located the man at a premises in Gibbes Street, Hall shortly before 11am.
They said he attempted to flee in a vehicle, crashed into several unmarked police cars, then fled from officers on foot.
Police searched the area, with a member of the public reporting police dogs were in use, with officers checking cars in the Hall area.
Police said the man was apprehended about 12.50pm following the search and taken to the ACT Watch House.
First Instance Warrants are issued by a court when a defendant or witness has failed to appear on the date stipulated on either a summons or bail agreement.
Police said investigations in relation to the incident were continuing.
