Noah Lolesio, Lachlan Lonergan and Nick Frost in junior Wallabies side

The Canberra trio were named in the 28-man Australian squad, which is still riding high after beating New Zealand in the Oceania championships on the Gold Coast last week.

Lolesio and Lonergan started in the clash against their trans-Tasman rivals and the pair are firming as future Super Rugby players after rising to the challenge.

Frost signed a Brumbies deal last week after a stint in the Canterbury Crusaders system in New Zealand before returning to the Australian pathways. The towering lock made his debut for Queanbeyan last weekend.

Playmaker Lolesio moved from Brisbane to Canberra as a teenager last year and steered the Tuggeranong Vikings to a John I Dent Cup title. Lonergan, a hooker, played in the same Tuggeranong team and is on the fringes of the Brumbies squad.

The junior Wallabies will play against Italy, Ireland and England in Argentina, starting with a pool match on June 4.

Junior Wallabies coach Jason Gilmore said: "Following on from Oceania everyone is quite keen to get together again as a group.

"We're drawn a strong pool, it contains some tough sides but we're looking to build on our experiences from Oceania and take each game as it comes.

"Our opposition will be fresh off their six-nations campaign and as a team we are excited by the challenge that it will offer."
