The chances of that happening may seem slim, but for one Bonython man it was a reality.
Steve Lee was told he was receiving a call from a WW - formerly known as Weight Watchers - representative from New York, after he had lost 34 kilograms on the diet program.
The WW member and now coach had no idea that Oprah was actually waiting on the end of the late night call which was recorded to be uploaded on WW's social media.
Naturally, Mr Lee greeted the talk show queen with a very Aussie "How ya going?".
"She was so nice on the phone," Mr Lee says.
"Took me a minute to realise it was her. I knew I was getting a call but I didn't know it was from her.
"She is really inspiring. Her tone and the way she is and the way she asks questions, I felt really thrilled and proud of what I've achieved."
Mr Lee was one of three people Oprah called in Australia, along with Mandi Adams from New Berrima and Carolyn Ektakchi from Castle Hill, both in New South Wales.
As the only male called as part of the company's It Works campaign, Oprah also commented about how it wasn't common to find a man on the program.
"There's not a lot of men, maybe because it's always been known as a bit of a woman's club," Mr Lee says.
"Certainly, in my experience with it, it's not. We are certainly out there. We go through the same battles, maybe different mental battles but the same physical battles that ladies do.
"We do have a new connect program where we have forums where members can go on and there are individual forums and there is one on there for guys."
Oprah has been long associated with the weight loss program and is also an investor and board member. She regularly features in marketing material, and obvious advice to participants through the WW website.
However, while she has made a few calls to WW members in the United States, this is the first time she's called Australians.
"I love connecting with WW members wherever they may be in the world because while each of their stories is unique, there is also something universal about our shared experience," Oprah says.
"I am constantly inspired by the WW community; to learn from them, to talk openly about our victories and our challenges. I've tried everything, and WW just works for me and my life."
Mr Lee was 112kg when he first decided to lose weight and "was really lucky" in the fact that it only took him six months to lose the weight.
Since losing the weight he has also featured in WW marketing, including in their cookbook.
But getting a call from Oprah is certainly a highlight for Mr Lee.
" I certainly never joined to get a call from Oprah," he says.
"The fact she called me to be selected as one of three people in Australia, who she called, and to being the only male that she called, that could happen to anybody."
