ACT Fire & Rescue were called to Michie Street about 7.15pm, after food stuffs caused significant smoke in the kitchen.
The father and mother and their two children were treated by ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics for smoke inhalation and transported to The Canberra Hospital for observation.
All are in a stable condition, but an estimated $10,000 of damage was caused in the kitchen.
Two pumpers, a Breathing Apparatus Van and a commander attended the scene, with ventilation operations now underway.
