From track one (Black Sap Scriptures) the hectic guitar riffs and screeching vocals had me paying attention.
Each component was well captured, with great definition between the instruments. This album was recorded in a day, with the awesome ‘50s rock-cum-punk lead track written in the hour they had spare.
As you can imagine, the energy is huge. Overall I enjoyed what this band does, but by the second half, it felt like being thrown in the middle of the washing machine cycle for a 20-minute spin.
I lost track of my unique identity as Plague Vendor took over and gave me a thrashing.
