The ACT Emergency Services Agency said Fire & Rescue and Ambulance Service personnel were called to the fire in the Neoplex factory, on Yallourn Street in Fyshwick about 4.50pm. Officers found the source of the fire about 5.30pm and put it out by 5.50pm.
"The factory is not occupied and businesses around the factory have been safely evacuated," it said in a statement.

Authorities sent three fire pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van, the Bronto Skylift Hydraulic Platform, Hazardous Materials Unit and two Command Officers.
