An IGA worker has been assaulted by a man armed with a gun in an early morning robbery on Monday.

ACT Police said the man entered the Chapman store on Perry Street about 6.20am, brandishing a firearm.
The man demanded cash, and staff complied, handing over a sum of money.
An employee at the store was assaulted in the incident. The extent of their injuries were not clear.
The man was described as about 181 centimetres, of a solid build and with an Australian accent. He was wearing a dark green zip-up jacket and grey Adidas tracksuit pants with white stripes down the side at the time of the incident.
