As the Brumbies prepare for an Australian derby against the Force on Saturday, Prior will get an up-close look at his new employers after committing to a two-year move to Perth.

And the former Australian under-20s No9 could be joined by Brumbies teammate Zack Holmes at the Force with the flyhalf considering a move home to chase game time.

Prior is in his third Super Rugby season and was lured to the Force by an opportunity for a new challenge and to play a major role in lifting the club up the ladder.

The 22 year old admits some might think he's crazy for jumping off the rising Brumbies train to join a team that has won just two games this year.

But after taking a risk to leave the Reds at the end of their championship-winning campaign in 2011 and join the unknown Brumbies, Prior isn't fazed by ladder positions.

"I look for opportunities and places I can develop as a player," Prior said.

"When I came to the Brumbies they were at the bottom of the table ... I do enjoy that challenge. It was tough to leave the Brumbies, but I think it's the best for the future.

"The Brumbies have developed me and I think it's time to get across what I've learned. Some people probably do [think I'm crazy], some people like to sit back and enjoy the ride.

"I like to challenge myself and that's when you grow as a player."

The Brumbies will name their team on Thursday for the clash against the Force with minimal changes expected to the team that drew with the Reds last weekend.

The Brumbies are aiming to keep their lead on the overall table and the Australian conference.

Brumbies coach Jake White recruited Prior at the start of the club's rebuilding phase to team with Nic White in a battle for the No9 jersey.

The former Reds back impressed in his opportunities in the starting XV and from the bench, but Nic White has rocketed into Wallabies contention and has cemented his place at scrumhalf.

"I'm going to work my absolute hardest for the Brumbies until the last whistle in the last game," Prior said.

"Obviously in the future I want to hold down a starting No9 position ... Coming from a winning culture at the Brumbies and Reds I feel I can take that to the Force.

Holmes is set to join Prior at the Force.

The 22-year-old playmaker stepped in as the Brumbies flyhalf saviour last season when Christian Lealiifano and Matt Toomua suffered season-ending injuries.

But with Lealiifano, Toomua and Wallabies inside centre Pat McCabe all fit, Holmes has struggled for game time this year.

A hunger for game time lured Colby Faingaa to the Melbourne Rebels, while Dan Palmer and Peter Kimlin will join French club Grenoble next year.

Meanwhile, SANZAR says Reds captain James Horwill not face any punishment for appearing to stomp on Brumbies prop Dan Palmer's face last weekend.

Horwill was not cited by the Brumbies and SANZAR said it would not be following up any incidents from the clash at Suncorp Stadium.
