When police arrived about 3.30am, the Toyota Corolla in the driveway of a residence was alight. ACT Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire a short time later.
The resident and neighbours reported hearing a loud bang.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old Gordon man will face court following a police pursuit early on Sunday morning.
Around 1.10 am police observed the maroon Ford XR6 sedan performing burnouts and driving erratically near Woodcock Drive, Gordon.
They attempted to stop the car, but the driver accelerated away.
Police pursued the vehicle until they decided it was too dangerous. They later located the driver who now faces charges of driving while suspended and drink-driving.
