The crime spree involved three aggravated robberies in Weston Creek and Canberra, in what police say could be linked.
The first incident happened around 1.30am on Saturday, where a man's mobile phone was stolen.
An ACT police spokesman said a black hatchback was believed to have been used during the theft.
Police say they then received reports on Sunday around 3.25pm of a Holden Astra being driven dangerously through the streets of Rivett.
Two women inside the Astra then reportedly threatened the driver of a black Volkswagen Golf, before stealing the Golf.
Both cars were seen driving towards the Rivett shops, before they were recovered by police.
In a third incident, two people were seen stealing a silver BMW from a unit complex in Turner in the early hours of Monday morning.
ACT police have launched an investigation into the series of thefts and have called for anyone with dash-cam of security footage of the incidents to come forward.
