While there was no big story to tell, 10-year-old Dean Falconer of Aranda and 11-year-old Brett Ogle of Goulburn got their moment of fame thanks to the action shots.
Except of course young Brett would go on to enjoy many, many more than his 15 minutes of fame, becoming one of Australia's top golfers.
One of those kids with a gift for any sport, Ogle was a champion junior athlete (he won the event he was photographed in), table tennis player and hockey player. He took up golf relatively late but quickly was turned pro. During his golfing career (he retired in 2002) he reached 44 in the world and had 15 professional wins, including two on the US PGA circuit.

Eighteen members were sworn in before they were to meet with the federal Minister for the ACT, Gordon Bryant.
