Maguire, who has attracted significant interest from a number of SANFL clubs, is expected to miss four to six weeks after going down in the three-point win over Queanbeyan last week.
With former teammates such as Tom Highmore making the move to Adelaide, the 'Mirrool Magician' is weighing up his future in the National Capital.
"I've been in contact with a couple of Adelaide clubs so I'm hoping that there's still some interest out there which is a good thing." He said.
"I still want to play good football next year and I'm interested in, depending on what happens in Canberra if there's a state league on offer and a Canberra side then I potentially might stay.
"But I'm more so looking at SANFL clubs and things like that in Adelaide might be another option as well."
Maguire admits he hasn't been close to winning a premiership but believes he's in the right place to change his luck.
"There's a great bunch of fellas down at Belconnen and it's a really good culture." He said.
"That's my goal, to keep winning games and play in a finals series and go very deep in it. That'd be nice."
Belconnen finished runner up in 2017, as well as last season losing to the Ainslie Tricolours on both occasions.

But with injuries playing their part in the Magpies' season already, the depth of the club has stood up keeping them in premiership contention.
"We've got good depth, and I think our midfield is really strong," he said.
"The depth in general is shown to be really strong over the last three weeks with all the injuries we've had, and we still haven't lost a game.
"It's good signs so far but there's still a long way to go that's for sure."
Although being undefeated this season, he says the club still has room for improvement heading into this week's match against Gungahlin on Saturday at the Adero Law Nest.
"I think leading into the game, we still haven't really played four quarters of footy yet." He said.
"We've won all four games, but we've always had 10-15-20 minute lapses where sides have kicked two or three goals on us in five or 10 minutes.
"I know Brock [Weston] is very adamant that that's one of our main goals this week, to try and not switch off throughout the game."
The Magpies took top position in the AFL Canberra standings last weekend as Tom Simpson's late goal broke Queanbeyan hearts.
Queanbeyan led throughout in captain Josh Bryce's 100th match, before Simpsons's match sealer in just his third game of league football.
Saturday's opponent Gungahlin remain winless, but would've taken heart from a sturdier defensive display against Eastlake last weekend.
The Demons were held to just six goals in wet and windy conditions against John Love's Jets.
Eastlake will chase a fourth-straight AFL Canberra win on Saturday when they make the trip to Greenway Oval to square off against struggling Tuggeranong while the Tigers play Ainslie.
